🗣ACTION!💬

Hush-Hush Hollywood Negotiations 🤫🎬: Big things are happening behind closed doors. SAG-AFTRA and the big studios have started talks, and they're staying super hush-hush about it - no media leaks allowed. They're looking to nail down rules around artificial intelligence, better payment terms for streaming, and limits on self-taped auditions. If talks fall through, the union's ready to strike. The Writers Guild of America is already on strike, and if SAG-AFTRA joins, film and TV production could grind to a halt. The DGA has come to a tentative agreement, which now needs member approval, and could set the tone for SAG-AFTRA and WGA's deals.

Stone-Led Spooky Feminist Tale 🎥👩: Oscar winner Emma Stone is set to wow us again in Poor Things, a feminist monster flick directed by Yorgos Lanthimos. The newly released trailer teases us with Stone's character, Bella Baxter, resurrected by a rogue scientist (played by Willem Dafoe) and embarking on a path of self-discovery and freedom. The star-studded cast and its parallels with Frankenstein suggest that this flick, set to hit theatres on September 8, 2023, will give us a unique look at liberation and bias.

Cranston's 2026 Sabbatical 🏝️🎭: Bryan Cranston has announced his upcoming 2026 hiatus. The beloved actor plans to hit pause on his bustling career to enjoy some quality time with his wife, Robin Dearden. With his production company and mezcal business set for a temporary close, Cranston will focus on relaxation, gardening, cooking, and script reading abroad. Though he'll be 70 and technically on break, he's not ruling out the occasional business call.

Afterparty Season 2 Sneak Peek 📺🕵️: Get ready, folks - Detective Danner is back in Afterparty Season 2! Apple TV+'s trailer gives us a taste of a murder-mystery wedding where everyone's a suspect. The all-star cast, each episode's unique film genre lens, and a killer storyline promise a wild ride. The season premiere drops on July 12, with a new episode out every Wednesday.

Ahsoka's Disney+ Debut 📺⭐: Rosario Dawson's leading the latest Star Wars spin-off, Ahsoka, hitting Disney+ on August 23. Created by Star Wars whizzes Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau, the series has a fantastic cast. Fans got a first glimpse in April on Star Wars Day, and a new TV spot aired during the NBA Finals. With its exciting lineup and epic Star Wars pedigree, this is one series you won't want to miss.

Inside the NFL Joins CW Lineup 🏈📺: The CW Network is bringing Inside the NFL to their sports roster. Previously aired on Paramount+, this weekly sports highlights and analysis show will now also stream on the CW app. This move comes amidst the CW's increased focus on sports content. NFL Films will produce the show, and they're on the hunt for new hosts and producers. CW Network's President, Dennis Miller, and NFL Films' Senior Executive, Ross Ketover, are pumped to bring this iconic show to a new generation of football fans.

CNN Programming Strategy Post-Licht 📰🚀: After Chris Licht's departure from CNN's New York headquarters, the network plans to stick with his programming strategy. Kaitlan Collins, Dana Bash, and Poppy Harlow will continue leading their respective shows. Despite a drop in ratings and staff cutbacks, CNN's focus on balanced news coverage remains unshaken. While the programming format will remain unchanged, staff will continue to explore fresh concepts.

Strike Stops De Niro's Netflix Drama 'Zero Day' 🎬📉 So, folks, 'Zero Day', Netflix's new drama starring the one and only Robert De Niro, has paused filming because of the Writers Guild of America strike. Directed by Lesli Linka Glatter, who also happens to be the president of the Directors Guild, the show's about De Niro's character investigating a global cyber attack (cool, right?). But just as production started in New York, it got hit with picketing members of the Writers Guild. Sadly, after five weeks, no return date has been set for negotiations. The whole thing's got everyone on edge, including the star-studded cast. So, for now, De Niro and co. are on hold. 🎭🕒

Uncertain Future for Love on Showtime 📺❓: Vanessa Bayer's comedy series Love, inspired by her own childhood leukemia battle, might not return for a second season. The show, which aired on Showtime and was warmly received, hasn't had a renewal update since its season finale nearly a year ago. After Showtime's executive reshuffle, Love got caught in the crossfire and could be joining several other cancelled shows.

Percy Hynes White Addresses Assault Accusations 📢🚫: "Wednesday" actor Percy Hynes White has finally responded to accusations of sexual assault surfaced on Twitter back in January. White denied the allegations, claiming they're based on misinformation from an unknown source. He also addressed the doxxing of his family and friends. White insisted that his on-screen character should not be conflated with his real-life persona and thanked his supporters for standing by him.

First Glimpse of 'Special Ops: Lioness' on Paramount+ 🦁📺 Hey, espionage thriller fans, Paramount+ just dropped the first trailer for Taylor Sheridan's 'Special Ops: Lioness'! It stars Zoe Saldaña and follows her character Joe as she works for the CIA in the war on terror while juggling her personal life (tough gig!). An aggressive Marine Raider (played by Laysla De Oliveira) gets recruited to work undercover with Joe. There's a star-studded team behind the camera too. Ready to get your spy on? Check out the trailer! 🕵️‍♀️🎥

Ruffalo and Ingelsby Team Up for HBO's Untitled Series 🚔📽️ Guess what? HBO has reunited with Mare Easttown creator Brad Ingelsby for a limited series about a law enforcement task force chasing baddies. And, get this, Mark Ruffalo is set to star and serve as executive producer! He's had some pretty big success with HBO in the past (Emmy nominations, anyone?), so we're expecting big things here. Francesca Orsi from HBO said she can't wait to work with Brad again. We can't wait to see what these two come up with! 🏆🔥

Vanderpump's Next Venture 'Vanderpump Villa' on Hulu 🏡📹 Alright reality TV lovers, Lisa Vanderpump is bringing her luxury French villa to Hulu! Her new show, 'Vanderpump Villa', will follow a chosen staff as they cater to their wealthy guests' every desire (sounds dramatic, doesn't it?). Vanderpump herself will executive produce the show. So, buckle up and get ready for a whole lot of lavish living and maybe some villa drama. 🍾🏰
